A quick, at-home remedy for rough cuticles

If you're like me, you may have a hard time keeping the skin around your nails and cuticles looking and feeling nice, especially during the winter months. Here are a few tips that I've found work fairly well, and everything you need is probably already in your pantry!!

Crisco - after you wash your face at night rinse your hands in warm water and pat dry. Coat finger-tips (knuckles too, if they're strugglin') and put on a cheap-o pair of cotton gloves. Leave them on over night, and rinse again with warm water in the morning. Apply your favorite hand lotion.

Vit E - You can get decently priced, over the counter vitamin E capsules at any drugstore. Take a couple capsules and roll them between your palms for a few seconds (to warm the oil.) Puncture with a safety pin and apply a dab of oil onto each nail and surrounding skin. *you can also buy vitamin E oil straight, and apply it over night like the crisco.

Brown Sugar Scrub - Mix a tablespoon of brown sugar with a teaspoon of olive oil and use it as a hand scrub. Gently massage hands while scrubbing to help improve circulation (why not kill two birds with one stone?) Use any method of moisturizer to finish off. I like to do this before bed, then wear the gloves.

Hope this helps!
