if we all sat down to write a list of 100 things we're grateful for, if we REALLY sat down and thought, i know that each person could think of at least that many. i don't care if you're a billionaire or joe shmo on the street. each person that is alive has things to be thankful for.
i wish that more people (including myself) were as conscious of our blessings YEAR ROUND, and not just during this time of year. i wish that those feelings of really having it all didn't diminish as we're standing in lines on black friday, determined to get more.
i wish that the holiday spirit started on November 1st and lasted through October 31st.
the meaning of the holidays always gets overshadowed in some way by the new gadget you got, or didn't get on sale. by lists... whether they be to do lists or Christmas lists.
This year, let's not forget how insanely blessed we ALL are to be alive, to be healthy (it could always be worse. seriously.) to be loved.
and may we all feel challenged to remember that we are blessed to be a blessing and as HUMANS (Christians or otherwise) it is our duty to live that way. to help everyone we come across in any way we can. may we remember how blessed by grace we all are, and try to spread some of that to each person we meet.
